Uninstall Win10 apps with Remove-AppxPackage


Windows 10 comes with a lot of pre-installed applications without obvious ways to uninstall them. With PowerShell you can. The command is called Remove-AppxPackage. It’s easy to use.

Search for what you want

You can search for packages with Get-AppxPackage.

You can use wildcards to make it easy.
Get-AppxPackage *search term*

Or you can display a specific package.
Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.MSPaint

Or just see a list of what is installed by running the command without arguments.

Remove what you don’t want

We simply pipe the result of our search into the remove command.
Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.MSPaint | Remove-AppxPackage
